Popular Orchids

The Vanda family consists of about 60 species and is native to Southeast Asia, the Philippines and Australia as well as some portions of Africa and Madagascar.
Vandas may vary greatly in size - from small miniatures to those that extend over six feet tall. The Vanda is a two dimensional plant - the leathery, strap shaped leaves progress up a single stem, alternating side to side in almost a perfect plane. The flower stem emerges from with in the leaves and produces a cluster of flowers which have a flat face and a protruding lip. Colors range from white, yellows and pink, to red and purplish blues.
